About Elise

I am a designer and maker based in Charlottesville, VA, and have been sewing my own clothes since I was a teenager. I am an active participant in the online sewing community and I love to pattern test. I also teach sewing and knitting classes at the shop where I work, EWE Fibers. I am passionate about size inclusivity done well, and above all, I sew what makes me happy and what I want to wear.

In addition to my sewing practice, I have experience in fashion and the arts supported by my BA in Studio Art from the University of Virginia and an AAS in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design. I love working with small fashion brands in a variety of arenas including production, technical design, sampling and fit, social media and marketing, and customer experience.
